The Cloud Sherpas leadership team brings a variety of different experience to the table and each member boasts an average of 18+ years of experience in the enterprise solutions industry. Since our founding in 2007, the leadership team has guided Cloud Sherpas to tremendous growth and remained dedicated to the vision of becoming the world’s leading Cloud Services Brokerage.
David is the Chairman & CEO of Cloud Sherpas, focused on growing the business, maintaining client satisfaction and establishing Cloud Sherpas as the leading provider of cloud advisory and technology services. During his tenure, David has led the organization through a period of hypergrowth, landing Cloud Sherpas on the Inc. 500 list twice and earning it the top spot on the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2014 Pacesetter list. Today, Cloud Sherpas growth is a combination of organic growth plus strategic M&A. Under David’s leadership he has successfully created a team and culture of strong integration, innovation and success. David has over 25 years of experience leading professional services organizations with a focus on enterprise technology, having served as the COO of Capgemini North America, EVP of Kanbay, COO of Adjoined and CEO of Plaut Consulting. Additionally, David has been named a finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 in the Southeast for the technology category.
As Chief Financial Officer, Chris is responsible for the Financial and Shared Services operations for Cloud Sherpas. His areas of focus include helping the business manage through a high-growth, profit generating program. Chris brings more than 17 years of experience in the areas of Finance and Operations in the Technology and Consulting industry, as he has held many leadership positions including Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Capgemini North America. At Capgemini and Ernst & Young, he specialized in optimizing internal cost structures and enhancing the business operational efficiency, discipline and predictability of operations, monthly forecasting and monthly financial close processes. He played an integral role in developing competitive client pricing and deal structure strategies and negotiating many of the company’s largest and most complex contracts. Chris has also held leadership positions in the areas of financial and operational management, financial modeling and securities pricing at both Bank of America and Deutsche Bank. Most recently Chris served in an advisory role for high-growth companies.
Gary is the President of the Cloud Sherpas’ salesforce.com Business Unit. He comes to Cloud Sherpas with an extensive leadership background and over 20 years of experience in the consulting and software industry, most recently serving as the leader for one of Capgemini’s largest business units in North America. Under Gary’s leadership, the unit experienced market leading, top line growth each of the last two years. In addition to this top line growth, Gary grew profits over 50% in each of the same fiscal periods, establishing and maintaining double digit operating profit margins. Prior to leading this unit, Gary led the firm’s largest Service Line where, under his leadership, revenues doubled. Before joining Capgemini, Gary was the North American President for Intershop, a leading provider of comprehensive e-commerce software solutions, and served as the North American CEO of Plaut AG, which focused on SAP consulting, license sales and IT-services. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University and a Masters of Science from Drexel University.
Doug is the President of Cloud Sherpas’ Google Business Unit, focused on growing the business as the leader in the Google for Work ecosystem. Under Doug’s leadership, Cloud Sherpas has earned the Google for Work Global Partner of the Year Award for four consecutive years. Doug has spent most of his career helping to launch and build high-growth technology companies. Doug previously worked at EVault as Vice President, Enterprise Sales. During his six-year tenure, from 2002 to 2008, he helped lead EVault grow from $2 Million to $48 Million in revenue and a successful acquisition by Seagate Technologies. Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University.
Jason is the President of Cloud Sherpas’ ServiceNow Business Unit. Prior to joining Cloud Sherpas, Jason served as Vice President of Navigis. Jason has over 18 years of experience leading diverse, multi-national teams of IT Service Management and Project Management Professionals. Jason has a deep knowledge of IT services and support, continual improvement, cloud enablement and cloud adoption. Jason is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and is both Project Management Professional and ITIL Certified.
Paul is the General Manager for the Asia Pacific region at Cloud Sherpas and is responsible for the company’s growth and operations across Australia & New Zealand, South East Asia and Japan. Paul joined Cloud Sherpas in early 2012 after Cloud Sherpas acquired Weblinc, a Salesforce consulting partner that Paul founded and directed. Through the experience at Weblinc and his previous experience as a General Manager at QM Technologies, Paul has established a strong reputation for leading high growth businesses. While at QM Technologies, Paul managed a $30 million operation and was part of the senior management team that successfully listed the company on the Australian Stock Exchange. Paul contributes expertise in mobile computing and applications, security, architecture and IT operations to Cloud Sherpas. Paul is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting & Business Systems from the University of Wollongong.
David is a co-founder and the Chief Technology Officer at Cloud Sherpas. He is responsible for emerging technologies and overseeing customer support and internal operations at Cloud Sherpas. David brings over 20 years of IT management experience to Cloud Sherpas. Prior to founding Cloud Sherpas, David served as the Director of Mobility Solutions at Corus Group and Director of Program Management at Optimus Solutions. In these roles, David built professional services practices focused on solution development and implementation using a mix of technologies from Microsoft, RIM/Blackberry and IBM. David holds a bachelor’s of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA in Technology Management. David is life long resident of Atlanta.
Gabriel Romero is the Vice President of Global Marketing at Cloud Sherpas, where he oversees the organization’s global marketing, brand strategy, communications, inside sales and lead generation activities. Under his leadership, the Cloud Sherpas marketing team doubled the number of opportunities created and raised marketing sourced bookings by more than 10% in just seven months. Gabriel has over 18 years of experience managing marketing strategy and lead generation activities, specifically for technology, software and professional services companies. Prior to joining Cloud Sherpas, Gabriel managed marketing for organizations including Ariba, an SAP company, RSM McGladrey and several high growth technology and software organizations.
