How Does It Work?

A Core Implementation starts with mobilization — this means preparing for project success — and a definition step of anywhere from one to two weeks. In the definition phase, we define the goals and objectives of the project, understand and document the scope and build the plan for the agile sprints that will follow.

Core implementation projects typically involve three to five sprints, each lasting from one to three weeks. A sprint is a way to quickly prototype, validate requirements and finish part of the application without having to go through the lengthy and often useless process of delivering a specification. On and offshore consultants typically work together to conduct the sprints.

Testing and training are generally conducted in simultaneous sprints — either by Cloud Sherpas or client resources — so that deployment times are typically half as long as traditional “waterfall” projects.
