Jon Hallett, Chairman
Jon is the Chairman of Cloud Sherpas. Jon’s areas of focus include capital management, strategic direction and new market development.
Prior to Cloud Sherpas, Jon was Executive Chairman at Northridge Systems (acquired by Perficient), a leading provider of collaboration solutions to large and midmarket enterprises. Jon also was a company director and turnaround executive at IT solutions firm mindSHIFT Technologies (acquired by Best Buy), where he helped quadruple revenue in 2 years. Earlier he held executive management positions at AppNet (acquired by CommerceOne) and was CEO at NMP, a consulting, SaaS and managed services company, at which he returned over 20x invested capital to his institutional investors. Jon has worked with numerous other start-ups as an executive consultant and currently serves as the Executive Chairman at BetterCloud. Jon began his career at Accenture and holds an engineering degree from Lehigh University.
David Northington, CEO
David is the CEO of Cloud Sherpas, focused on growing the business, client satisfaction and establishing Cloud Sherpas as the market’s leading Cloud Solutions Provider.
David has over 25 years experience leading professional services organizations with a focus on enterprise technology, having served as the COO of Capgemini North America, EVP of Kanbay, COO of Adjoined and CEO of Plaut Consulting. At Capgemini, he oversaw multiple profit and loss centers across the US and Canada and provided strong leadership in many areas including people management, profit optimization, and vertical expansion.
Jason Booma, Board of Directors
Jason is a member of the Cloud Sherpas Board of Directors and focuses on corporate development and overall corporate governance. Jason joined Columbia Capital in 2008 and focuses on investments in the communications and enterprise services sectors. At Columbia, Jason serves on the Boards of Cloud Sherpas and Envysion, and he is also directly involved in the firm’s investments in euNetworks Group Ltd, GTS CE, Zayo Group, and EGS. Prior to joining Columbia Capital, Jason was with Centennial Ventures. There, he was involved with Centennial’s services and technology investments in Zayo Group, Compellent Technologies (NASDAQ: DELL), New Global Telecom (NASDAQ: CMCSA), Market Force Information, and TensorComm.. Prior to Centennial, Jason was a product manager for Level 3 Communications. Jason started his career at QualNet (acquired by Verio), a start-up provider of co-location and connectivity services for mid-sized enterprises. Jason received a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management.
John Siegel, Board of Directors
John is a member of Cloud Sherpas Board of Directors and focuses on corporate development and overall corporate governance. John joined Columbia Capital in 2000 and focuses on communications and IT services investments. John is currently a member of the Board of Directors of GTS CE, mindSHIFT Technologies, euNetworks, Presidio, Teliris, Cologix, Virtustream and Zayo. John served on the boards of ICG Communications and FDN Communications and represented Columbia Capital’s interests in Mpower Communications prior to their respective exits. Before joining Columbia Capital, John worked in Morgan Stanley’s Private Equity Group, where he specialized in investments in the telecommunications/data services arena. He also held positions with Fidelity Ventures, the private equity division of Fidelity Investments, and the Investment Banking Division of Alex. Brown & Sons, Incorporated. John received his B.A. from Princeton University and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
